This wine has been made form a selection of Garnacha (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (40%) from our plots.
The vineyards from which these grapes are picked are more than 20 years old.
Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of around 25 ºC and maceration lasts 10 – 12 days depending on the condition of the grapes. When alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is subjected to 6 months of micro-oxygenation in wine-making tanks in order to round it off and enhance its structure and aromas.
Part of this wine has been lightly aged for 3 months in American oak barrels.
Attractive cherry red with a ruby rim.
A clean, intense aroma with a prevalence of ripe red fruit.
Forthright, round, persistent and richly expressive of ripe fruit in the mouth.
Servings recommendations: Open the bottle some time before serving to allow the wine to breathe so you can enjoy its full flavour.
Awards:
. Bronze at Decanter World Wine Awards 2016.
- Wine Enthusiast (Importer Connection Prg). - 84 pts:"Black strokes seem to be brushed into this wine’s dark red core. The nose is initially meaty, with crunchy blackberries to support, but it isn’t very giving otherwise. The palate has masses of cracked peppercorns and hung game funk. It’s an individual wine that is sure to be polarizing. Medium bodied with moderately tugging tannins and integrated medium acidity, there’s intrigue here, but tertiary flavors are coming on strong".
