Intense raspberry-color rosé, 100% Merlot, silky and very aromatic. 

Wine Description

Otazu Rosado Merlot 2021 (D.O. Navarra) is a 100% Merlot rosé wine. The grapes were harvested in the Merlot vineyards of our single-estate vineyard in September 2021. After a cold maceration for 12 hours, when this rosé obtains its typical intense pink color, we proceed to the traditional saignée method in order to respect the quality of the fruit and maintain the personality and particularity of the grape variety.

After the clarification, the wine ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.

Finally, it is aged for two months on its lees in order to gain volume, unctuosity, and a unique varietal character.
Tasting Notes

Otazu Rosado Merlot 2021 exhibits a medium deep raspberry pink color, with purple reflections. It is intense on the nose, expressing red fruit aromas such as raspberry and wild strawberry with some candy notes. Round and silky on the palate with expressive notes of red fruits leading to an intense and fresh finish.

This rosé can be served at a temperature of 8ºC-10ºC and pairs very well with cold and warm salads, rice meals, pastas, vegetables and cold meat.
