Wine Description

This wine was created from grapes sourced from more than 25-year-old vineyards, with an average yield of 4000 kg/ha. The grape harvest was made in September, at optimal grape ripeness. The alcoholic fermentation of the wine was followed by the malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.

Once this fermentation was completed, the wine was racked and left to age for 15 to 18 months, patiently waiting for just the right moment for bottling.

There was no clarification or stabilization of this great wine before bottling. Its subsequent bottle aging gives it roundness and elegance, to create this complex, amazing wine.

Earthy with a pleasant touch of funk on the palate, this is a full-bodied and buxom wine that knows how to throw around its weight to get attention. Nonetheless, the tannins are round, ripe and are smartly integrated. It drinks well enough now, and with its moderate complexity there's little benefit to waiting, so enjoy now through 2017".

  • COLOUR: Intense cherry colour with a robe of high density.
  • NOSE: Complex bouquet of fruity jams, with spiced and smoked hints.
  • PALATE: Powerful taste of ripe fruit on the palate, with avoursome and sweet tannins. Balanced, enveloping and with a lingering nish.
  • AGEING: More than 15 months in 225 liters oak barrels.
